Co-evolution requires that two or more species interact such that they evolve in response to each other. Sometimes, these interactions are beneficial to both parties, sometimes they're beneficial to just one and bad for the other, and sometimes they're bad for both.
The following sections explain the main categories of species' interactions.
jjtJABEft Although these discussions focus on pairs of species, co-evolution can involve interactions among more than two species. The relationship categories remain the same, regardless of how many organisms are co-evolving, even though any one species may be interacting with other species in a variety of different ways (like trying to eat some and not get eaten by others).
