Future outerplanet missions

At the time of writing, both ESA and NASA are considering an outer-planet mission to be launched in the 2015-2025 timeframe to either the Jovian or Saturnian systems. In addition to further studying the atmospheres of these planets, the missions will also explore in more detail the moons of the giant planets, in particular Europa and Ganymede for the Jupiter system mission, and Titan and Enceladus for the Saturn system mission. The decision of which mission study to explore further will be made towards the end of 2008.
