Healing Negative Energy
On October 8, 1973, Time magazine reported on the growing influence of 'pyramid power' among both celebrities and common folk. It was reported that Gloria Swanson slept with a miniature pyramid under her bed, claiming that it made every cell in her body tingle. Actor James Coburn claimed to meditate regularly inside a pyramid-shaped tent and to place his cat and kittens on a bed placed over several tiny pyramids, theorizing that the kittens might grow up in the product with that claim. He did, however, claim that the pyramid was ideal for food storage. According to Flanagan, the geometric shape of the pyramid acts as a lens that focuses the energy from the earth's magnetic field. The pyramid power can be experienced both within the pyramid and as an emanation from the pyramid. Taking a slightly different approach, Christopher Dunn argues that pyramid power offers a convincing explanation for the true purpose of ancient pyramids, an explanation much better than the accepted notion that...
Psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich is an important figure in the story of alternative technology. This student of Freud claimed to have discovered orgone energy - what Charles R. Kelley, in the September 1962 issue of The Creative Process, calls 'the creative force in nature.' Reich first discovered orgone within the human body and claimed that his patients received improved mental and physical health by sitting inside devices that he called 'orgone accumulators.' (The U.S. government was less than impressed with Reich's inventions, imprisoning him in 1956 for transporting an orgone accumulator across state lines.) He also came to believe that orgone existed in a free form in the atmosphere and as the creative force of the entire universe. Kelley, in an article that has been both reproduced and plagiarized many times over, argues that it is in its atmospheric phase that the existence of orgone has been most clearly demonstrated. Kelley himself, a former weather forecaster in the Air Force,...
We scientists view the question as part of our turf, as the proper subject of astrobiology. In recent decades, however, another train of belief has been gathering steam on a parallel track. Although science has been on a roll of confidence and power since the Enlightenment, antiscientific voices are increasingly audible on the cultural airwaves. Creationism, faith healing, astrology, postmodern relativism, and New Age spirituality are among those beliefs that mainstream science regards as dangerous superstitions threatening the rational basis of our society. Many adherents of these beliefs view science as equally dangerous, threatening our very survival with an amoral, materialistic, antispiritual attitude and an out-of-control pursuit of new technology. Nowhere is the gulf between expert scientific opinion and popular folk beliefs greater than on the subject of aliens.
Darwin brought the study of life in line with physical science. In modern biology, life does not require special principles such as a life force neither does it evolve through anything other than chance and necessity. Many have perceived this as a loss, as another triumph of the ugly urge to reduce everything to physics. Scientifically, however, joining biology and physics improved both disciplines. Biology became connected to the accomplishments of the physical sciences it acquired an impressive unifying theory that made it more than a collection of unrelated items of information about life. Physicists in turn
When confronted with a puzzle at the fundamental level, we might find that something entirely new is afoot, as happened when we had to invoke a new force to explain atomic nuclei. But when we are confronted with a puzzle at a higher level, we do not suspect something entirely new. On the contrary, we assume that the higher levels must be reducible to the lower. No one thinks, for example, that there is a life force associated with organic molecules. No physicist postulates a new fundamental interaction to explain a phenomenon such as superconductivity, no matter how puzzling. so now our question becomes how to explain the complexities of our world, starting from a simple realm of fundamental particles and forces.
Water spirits are protectors, the guardians of bodies of water that give and renew life on earth. it is believed in Africa that the water spirits live in pools and swamps that never dry out. It is said that their water spirits role is to protect water sources and keep them alive. 36 It is the water spirit that controls human behavior around the important water caches of the earth. Water spirits dictate the proper attitude to have with this life force. Their punishment is swift and dreadful if their laws are broken. This is the role of the nature spirit to act as the supernatural protector of nature, to enforce her laws and to reward or punish those who are under a spirits influence. It is unfortunate that modern humans have turned their backs upon this ancient archetype and now are beginning to suffer for their refusal to acknowledge nature for what she is.
If there is anyone more influential than Reich in the field of alternative technology, it is certainly Nikola Tesla, famed inventor and champion of alternating current. Unlike Reich, Tesla's influence extends beyond the importance of any particular invention or discovery, like Reich's orgone. Tesla's influence is closer to a cult of personality. For example, in 1959 Margaret Storm released Return of the Dove, a self-published volume printed in green ink. In this book Storm claimed that Nikola Tesla was really from the planet Venus. According to Storm, Tesla was born on a space-ship en route from Venus to earth, where he was placed in the adoptive care of Jonathan and Martha Kent, I mean Milutin and Djouka Tesla.
In 1971 Skella Aleksandrovna Bugrova worked for the Control Group in Yevpatoriya. She recalls that the 'sliding' circadian rhythm imposed on the first Salyut crew had a serious effect on their health and relationships with the people on Earth. With added fatigue and the influence of weightlessness, they became spiritually and physically overloaded. ''And we on Earth could not manage to analyse the flight information. As a result, we were slow to respond to the questions and observations of the crew, which irritated them. In our memories, even today, are the last conversations with them before the descent. If we had not rushed the crew to prepare for the descent, if only the flight director had had the courage to postpone the undocking from Salyut in order to fully investigate the absence of the signal from the hatch, and then reviewed once again the status of the life support system, then maybe the tragedy would have been avoided.''
The Byrd diary, like Bernard's Hollow Earth, freely combines elements of the Symmes Reed Gardner hollow earth tradition with the traditions of Atlantis and Lemuria as articulated by the theosophists. Bernard, for example, describes the civilization at the center of the earth in terms of Agharta and Shambala, which are, according to Bernard, names given to the underground world by Tibetan Buddhists who believe that the King of the World rules from below ground. This underground kingdom of Agharta, ruled over by the capital city of Shambala, is far more advanced than our own, Bernard claims, and is responsible for the flying saucers which fill our skies. Tunnels connect this underground kingdom with all areas of the world, making it accessible from many places other than the poles. Descended from the survivors of the sunken continents of Lemuria and Atlantis, the kingdom at the center of the earth has much to teach us, both technologically and spiritually.
Scientists don't like it when we are portrayed as unidimensional, robotic, spiritually insensitive, tight-assed, honky geeks.f Straw men can be used, just as inappropriately, to knock down our philosophy. You could quote biologist Richard Dawkins saying that faith is an evil that should be stamped out just like smallpox. You could point to the aid and comfort some American skeptics have given to the Chinese government's brutal, murderous campaign against Falun Gong. All houses of philosophy have rooms built of straw.
Wilhelm Reich claimed that his orgone accumulator was based on hard science and that he had evidence that it worked. The U.S. federal government responded by banning the movement of orgone technology or related literature across state lines because they deemed his therapy to be without merit. Equipment was moved and Reich was arrested. Otis T. Carr claimed that his breakthrough in anti-gravity was based on insights from Nikola Tesla. Carr was convicted of securities fraud. Paul Pantone claims to have discovered a technique that will allow automobiles to operate using water as fuel. The State of Utah has declared him incompetent to stand for sentencing for the securities fraud charges to which he pled guilty. gullible investors from their money Are they kooks Have they experienced a break with reality that makes them believe their own crackpot theories Do their financial indiscretions result from a genuine case of misplaced confidence in their own inventions Are they for real Do orgone...
Around me I begin to feel an aura of Love. It is a gentle frequency that expands a hundred feet on all sides. I recognize it as the same welcoming vibration I receive when the dolphin pods approach. Who is it I wonder I have the feeling someone is coming. There is something very loving in the air. Could it be the Wise Ones This is the name for the Sasquatch people who are the most advanced spiritually and intellectually.
One third of the way down the valley on the east side lies the perennially sleepy but spiritually restless town of Crestone. Cradled in the forest beneath the dramatic peaks of the Sangres, and blessed by several rushing mountain streams, Crestone is a power spot (as are Taos, New Mexico, and Sedona, Arizona) that attracts aliens, hippies, and New Age entrepreneurs. These days, you can get about a hundred types of massage and a good latte at most power spots perfect after a long drive through the desert or a journey of many light-years in a cramped saucer. Crestone is so spiritually awakened that it is damn near insomniac. There are temples, and serious practitioners, of many faiths, including
