4.1. Comparison with microwave analog results

Gustafson and Kolokolova [12] have studied different compact particles and aggregates, with particular attention to the color dependence in brightness and polarization near Pmax. Their work confirms that polarization of light scattered by a fluffy particle (aggregate) decreases with increasing size of the constituent grains and with increasing porosity of the particles. With large aggregates (ten times the wavelength or more), the polarization decreases and the color in brightness and polarization is redder [13]. These results are in complete agreement with our measurements.
