The Solidstate Electrochemical Cell

In this section, the fundamentals of electrochemical cells are presented using the solid-state type and reaction (10.1) as a typical overall reaction. The basic theory is readily extended to aqueous cells and any type of oxidation-reduction reaction.

Instead of mixing powders of the species that take part in Eq (10.1), the reaction takes place in the electrochemical cell shown in Fig. 10.1. The two metals and their oxides are housed

We respect Nature and it gives us its bounty, but in the recent past greedy money hungry corporations have made us all so destructive, so wasteful.
