postnotum n.; pl. -ta [L. post, after; Gr. notum, back] (ARTHRO: Insecta) The phragma-bearing plate in the dorsum of a pterothoracic segment, originating from the acrotergite of the following notum. see mesopostnotum, metapost-notum.

postoccipital ridge (ARTHRO: Insecta) The internal aspect of the postoccipital suture.
